Testimonials!

Awe-inspiring, breathtaking, exhilarating, beautiful.
These are just some of the adjectives that could be used to describe Kenya. Given the opportunity, everyone should visit Kenya at least once in their life.

I can thoroughly & wholeheartedly recommend a trip with Masai Mara and the team at Essands Safaris whether its a trek in the wilderness or a safari you are after - both were fantastic experiences made all the more enjoyable almost encyclopaedia-like knowledge of the country, its history, flora & wildlife. If you are thinking about going, don't think - just do it and do it with Essands Safaris!

Kenya is majestic with its vast savannah planes, animal rich national parks, dramatic mountain ranges and coastal oddities.
After obsessing over the internet about which operator would be best to take my teenage son and I on safari, I came across Essands Safaris. I loved the honesty of their personal descriptions on the website, that fact they were Kenyan born and bred, their company a local one.

My brief was simply for wild life and wilderness, and a little luxury in with the rough. Essands Safaris then assembled, all within 48 hours, what was to become that trip of a lifetime.

I couldn't have dreamt of such a stunning holiday and for that I truly thank our guide James of Essands Safaris. He shared his amazing knowledge of Kenya with generous abandon, took us to places that felt as though no person had been before, where mountain zebra trotted about and giraffe and desert elephants roamed free. We treasured this extraordinary bloke with the driest of humour, compassion, and love of life. He transformed a holiday into a rare and wonderful travelling experience.

My advice to you, potential traveller, is save yourself loads of hassle. Look no further; dig a bit deeper into your pocket, give the guys your travel dates and a couple of hints, and let them to it. Trust me. It doesn't get any better than this. Enjoy.

A guided safari is not cheap - if you want cheap, go to Spain. This is for those who want a holiday to remember for life.
You have to pick the right kind of company and the right kind of people if you want a truly magical African experience. We would not hesitate to recommend Essands Safaris for anyone interested in following in our footsteps.

A young company prepared to go the extra mile to deliver a great experience to customers who set their holiday expectations high
We went to Kenya in search of an authentic African safari experience which did not involve exposing ourselves to the chaos and dangers which are so prevalent in other parts of the Continent. In that respect, Kenya really delivered.
So did Essands Safaris who we picked to take us on a guided safari. They were recommended to us as a young company prepared to go the extra mile to deliver a great experience to customers who set their holiday expectations high. That is exactly what they did.

The itinerary that we asked Essands Safaris to work up sought to combine a few consecutive days camping with the occasional return to civilisation in an upmarket lodge. It worked really well. We also covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of game and some stunning landscape without ever feeling that we were cooped up for too long in the 4x4.

Andrew, our guide on safari, was the ultimate multi-tasker acting as an extremely competent chauffeur, chef, quartermaster, mechanic, housekeeper game ranger and raconteur to a demanding urban family of 4 for 10 days.
