MOUNTAIN GORILLA SAFARI

Day 1
Morning departure from Kampala for the south with stops at the craft village at the Uganda Equator for pictures and shopping. After lunch at the Lakeview Hotel in Mbarara, proceed through the beautiful evergreen mountain country arriving late evening. Dinner and overnight at Campsite. Transit Time 8-10 hrs.

Day 2
Briefing by park ranger-guides. Later with picnic lunch, start 30 minutes of 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas. The tracking starts at the area where the gorillas were the previous day. After a full hour with the gorillas, return to your base. Dinner and overnight at Campsite.

Day 3
Transfer to Mbarara for lunch, Later depart for Kampala. Transit Time 8-10 hrs.

 Gorilla Trekking  

Day 1: Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel on bed and breakfast.  Lake Victoria Hotel.

Day 2: Murchison Falls
After breakfast depart driving to the Murchison Falls National Park arriving mid afternoon with afternoon game drive. L, D, and overnight at the Camp.

Day 3: River Nile
After the morning game drive and breakfast, you will cruise up the Nile to the foot of the Falls - a magical trip through magnificent scenery. The whole of the Nile River is forced into a gap only 8m wide and the immense force of the water and the views of the Falls are awe-inspiring. B, L, D, and overnight at the Camp.

Day 4: Budongo Forest
A short drive brings you to the Budongo Forest, where you visit the top of the fall and Kaniyo Pabidi Ecotourism Site. B, L, D, and overnight at the Camp.

Days 5/6:Kibale Forest
Drive to Kibale Forest, where you visit the forest and track chimpanzees. B, L, D, and overnight at the Camp.

Days 7/8: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. During your stay, you will visit on the Kazinga Channel known for hippos and birdlife; search for chimps in Chamburu Gorge. B, L, D, and overnight at Camp.
 
Day 9: Bwindi
After a morning game drive out of the park via the Ishasha area, famous for its tree-climbing lions to Bwindi. B, L, D, and overnight at the Camp.
 
Day 10: Bwindi
Experienced trackers will lead you on an early morning trek into the forested volcano slopes and bring you to a family of Mountain Gorillas. You return to the camp for a late lunch. Drive to Entebbe on bed and breakfast. Overnight at Hotel.
